NATIONAL INVEST IN AMERICA WEEK℠ | JULY 1–7
Presented by the National Invest In Veterans Week® Team
Established in 2025 as an outgrowth of the nationally honored National Invest In Veterans Week®, designed using the civic blueprint conceptualized by technologist Jeff Shuford. While he holds no operational role in its administration, his strategic framework catalyzed this broader initiative.
WHAT IS NATIONAL INVEST IN AMERICA WEEK℠?
Observed annually from July 1 to July 7, National Invest In America Week℠ calls upon Americans to reimagine patriotism through purposeful economic participation. It is a national observance that redefines civic engagement not just as a right, but as an active investment in the cultural, economic, and social infrastructure of the United States.
This week-long observance is structured to align with Independence Day, encouraging citizens to reflect not only on freedom but also on their shared responsibility to sustain the nation through investment in its people, industries, and institutions.
PURPOSE & THEMATIC FRAMEWORK
National Invest In America Week℠ is more than commemorative; it is functional civic scaffolding. By encouraging microeconomic action, cross-sector collaboration, and local leadership, it seeks to:
Elevate underserved communities through investment literacy.
Reinforce national cohesion via localized engagement.
Catalyze long-term policy and economic resilience.
#InvestInAmericaWeek | #EconomicUnityWeek

HISTORICAL CONTEXT
National Invest In America Week℠ draws philosophical lineage from key inflection points in U.S. economic democratization, including the Securities Acts Amendments of 1975 that deregulated brokerage commissions. While that policy moment opened financial markets to the public, this observance institutionalizes civic investment itself—offering a structured mechanism through which Americans of all backgrounds can meaningfully shape their communities.
A compelling historical parallel comes from President Richard Nixon, who formally recognized National Invest-in-America Week in 1970. In a message issued on April 27, 1970, President Nixon remarked:
“Although public policy has an important role in the meeting of these goals, without private enterprise the goals themselves would be meaningless. For we depend upon private investment to provide us the capital to produce goods, to provide jobs, to build houses, to support the nation's public debt, and, most important, to maintain the growth of product and income that yields benefits for all Americans.”
This legacy underscores the enduring relevance of economic participation as a patriotic duty.
